Leila, I know what you've been through, truly you are a mother warrior. I just wanted to say that she really is a beautiful little girl and despite the measurements at first glance she looks pretty normal. I have the greatest confidence that CT will resolve her head shape by the time she is two. You still have so much time!!!

Leila,I am so sorry to hear your story. It breaks my heart to think of what you've gone through. My son is 4 months old this week and I decided to do something about his plagio, despite his peds saying it would correct itself. I was going to get evals from both CT and ECA, but after your story, we are going with CT in ndale. In fact, Marcus will be measured tomorrow and will be getting his doc band also on the 31st. Maybe we'll run into you! Thank you for sharing your story. Best of luck for Maysa!Aimee

Hello,

We took Maysa to CT in ndale, VA this morning. It was a long appointment but we had a lot to cover. Similar to what Orthoamerica told us a week ago, Maysa has not improved a bit, in fact she has regressed both in her plagio and brachy. We paid out of pocket and did the DSI. Her band should be here on 10/31 and that's when we go for her fitting. She will 9 and a half months by then and starting all over.

I am still sick to my stomach. I been staying up for hours at night since 10/13 unable to sleep, we've wasted time and good growth. Just to get an idea of where she could have been by now, I took the sheet that Orthoamerica had given me and I retraced her actual circumference with a thread, I then repositioned it on the circumference of her head prior to treatment, redirecting the thread to the area where her head should have grown the most. I then counted the little squares on the sheet and calculated her CI. From my rough estimate, with the growth that she's had, she should have had a CI of 84 to 85% by now... she is at 98%, still.

My next mission while Maysa gets better in her new helmet is to take care of Joe Terpenning and his practice.

I have added the pictures that CT took today of Maysa. We have a lot of progress to make. I will keep you all posted.

Leila
