Guest guest
I just took my daughter to get a cast made on THursday. She was absolutely perfect, which kind of makes me feel even more guilty. Anyone have any hints or tips on how to introduce the band when we first get it?? I am so anxious about that day, and am trying to mentally prepare for the worst. My daughter is SO good natured, and I will be upset if she is bothered by her new band. Any advice is greatly appreciated. We are supposed to get the band within two weeks! Thanks for any help you can give Mom to McKenna (almost 6 months) > From: <nwilkens2275@...> > Subject: Re: DOCband digital mold day today! > Plagiocephaly > Date: Friday, September 26, 2008, 6:25 PM > My son was casted for his first band, and in comparison to > that, the > DSi is a breeze, really. Guest guest
I think a key thing with introducing the band is to make sure your anxiety doesn't show to the baby. Smile and talk/sing to her as you put it on and hopefully she'll be distracted and not too bothered by it. I would probably bring a couple of her favorite toys to distract her as well. My son has been in his STARband for a week - and he couldn't be doing better in it! He doesn't mind when we take it on/off. The sweating slowed down within a few days - some times are sweatier than others, but we just dress him lightly. We are in Chicago - so I'm glad for once that summer is over and cooler weather is near! Good luck! I am sure you will all do fine!
