Guest guest
Can you let us know when you post the pics? I didn't see them. Sydney lost all her hair in the band too, but it grew back quickly. Actually she was in her band 5 mo, and it all fell out the first month, then started growing back. The top was longest since the open part never fell out. It looked silly for a few months, but not she's pretty normal :-) I would say if you're not happy with his head go for another band. I know even after 2 yrs without the band I still see my daughter's problem areas. She got good correction, but her head isn't perfect. You want to do your best while you can. -christine sydney, almost 3 yrs, starband grad > > Hi everyone... > I was hoping to get an idea about what some of your experiences have > been if you've decided to get a second band. Guest guest
Headscicles!!!! Oh my gosh - I'm dying!!!! So funny! Up until now I just called Luke's " head on a stick... " It wasn't an exit appointment - I've talked with Luke's therapist about getting a second helmet for the last two weeks (he goes in for weekly adjustments). She seems to genuinely believe that he'll get more depth from a second helmet - he had a combo of plagio/brachy and she always prepared me that his height would never " decrease, " but that the depth would just start to " catch up " with the height and the width... it HAS gotten better, but I just wasn't sure that it was such a huge improvement that it would be necessary to continue with the DOC or just let nature run its course at this point. - you're right about the Photostudy being in PDF - I just haven't taken the time to figure out how to convert it to JPEG... not sure I have what I need to do it on my laptop... I'll give it another shot tomorrow and if I can't seem to figure it out I'll e- mail you the attachment if you don't mind giving it a shot. Let me warn you, though - my sweet little boy looks like Uncle Fester without his helmet! ;-) Thanks so much, everyone! Guest guest
thanks we did know in advance and it was scheduled with the pics/measurements and dsi scan. i would have liked that exit mold but i barely have enought money for food so i guess that extra cost is not an option. wish i had known that in advance i could have tried to save up the money. oh well From: <nwilkens2275@...>Subject: Re: Thinking about band #2 - need some thoughts/advicePlagiocephaly Date: Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 8:03 PM Do you know how your appointment was scheduled? I think if they know you are definitely graduating at your last adjustment (as they did with us), they will have scheduled you for like an hour or hour and a half on Monday and they'll do pictures, measurements and another DSi scan. I do believe sometimes the exit pictures and scan might be scheduled separately on another day. I think I've heard of people going back for them after graduation. They need to schedule the block of time in advance, or they won't have time to do it the day of graduation. You might need to call and find out. We did ours the same day we graduated because we knew in advance it would be our last appointment, plus we travelled from out of town, so they didn't want us to have to come back again just for photos/scan.Also, FYI, if you're interested in getting an exit mold poured (so that you have 2 headsicles to keep forever!), there's an extra charge of $75. You just have to let them know you want to order it when the scan is done, if you decide you want it.
