I have had three children sent to CT and only one came out with a DOC-Band. Our middle son was evaluated at 4 months and then again at six months and CT told us they didn't feel he needed a band due to the fact the repositioning had really helped his head. 3 years later we took our twins to CT at 4 months and 6 months and CT felt that only one of our twins still needed the band the other had corrected with repo. So depending on where you take your child to be evaluated I would have to disagree with your ped., CT did not recommend the band for 2 out of the 3 babies we brought to them!
