I have lurked on this site since February 2005 and finally starting

LDN (liquid method) in January 2007. My story is different than

most of yours and I'll try to be brief. I am a very healthy 46 year

old female, living in Boise, ID. I woke up the morning of 1/25/05

with numbness in my left hand and arm. I travelled to DC for work

that day and by the end of the day, numbness had spread to my head

and torso, all on left side. After a few weeks, I saw a neurologist-

-one active lesion on my spine at C-1, normal brain MRI, lumbar

puncture showed all the markers for MS. He did not diagnose because

one lesion is not " multiple. " Took a watch and see approach, 6

month f/u brain MRI was still normal. It took months for the

sensory problems to resolve, but they did for the most part. In Feb

06, had a period of sensory problems on my left torso again. I just

let it run its course. This is my first winter without any issues.

Searching my memory for other problems I remembered a period in my

20's when I had numbness in my scalp, but never thought much about

it. It went away. I do not believe I have MS, but that lesion is

there and can raise its ugly head when it chooses. The Jan 05

incident was during a period of extreme stress for me--I have now

adopted the " Simplify " approach and do not let things stress me

out. I am no longer the perfectionist I was before this incident.

I feel better about so many things and see the scare as a blessing.

I ordered Naltrexone from River Pharmacy in January and received it

in two weeks. I am making the liquid LDN. I started at 3.0 mg and

noticed nothing to speak of, so went straight to 4.5 mg. I have had

a few headaches, some sleep problems at first, an improvement in my

sorry!--stool. Other than that, nothing new surfaced, nothing

really changed. Since I am symptom free anyway, that is exactly

what I hoped would happen. I will continue to swallow this bitter

mix as a preventative measure and see where this road takes me.

I have never posted, but I wanted to take a minute to thank two

folks in particular--- and Aletha--you have the patience of

Job in answering the same questions over and over again. I have

learned much from all of you and appreciate the folks that hang in

there to help others. For most of the members, I would urge you to

read the archives, read other information on LDN, and hesitate to

attribute every little thing that happens in your body to your

diagnosed condition or to LDN. If you did not have that diagnosis

or were not taking LDN, you would ignore much of what you panic over

with this group.

I'm an organizer by nature, so part of me wants to create one-stop

shopping for the valuable info this group has to offer so there was

not so much to filter through. I have used the daily digest and

find that it is easier to bypass the off-topic discussions and

especially the bickering that definitely detracts from this site. I

will not lurk here much longer, but I wanted to thank you for

educating me and giving me the nerve to order a drug without an Rx

and take it. And I thank God for giving me a wake up call to better

care for this life he has given me.

Thanks!

Karla
