A Happy NOPCO Boston Graduate -

Hello All,I wanted to close the loop on our experience with Boston with thehappy news that we finally had a chance (due to my schedulingproblems, not Dr ) to get in to see Dr at Children'sHospital in Boston in order to get the 'graduation' sign off for ourson . started out with a 99% cranial index (brachycephaly). At his final visit his index was 84%. The doc said that he will alsolikely get a 2-3% natural improvement through his natural growth dueto the fact that the timely helmet treatment stopped the growth of thesides...allowing future growth to continue to the back. wore the helmet from June - Sept 2008 for appx 12 weeks. Duringthat time we received our check ups at NOPCO Braintree mostly. Wewere always happy with the service we received from both that locationas well as the initial fitting at the location within Children's Hospital.I hope this helps anyone who is trying to decide between NOPCO and anyother banding options. Our experience with NOPCO was nothing butpositive. Yes, insurance was a struggle but part of that was UHC, partwas NOPCO's slowness...it was eventually paid for almost in full.Fortunately, the insurance slowness didn't affect my son's head shape:-) Best of luck to all of you making these decisions whether to band ornot. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made -- to band. I'mhappy to respond to any emails directly for more info if needed.I will try to post pictures soon.
