Hi JJ-

The band didn't hinder the growth rate of my son's hair, I got his

first hair cut right before getting it and had to cut it twice more

over the 7 months he wore 2 bands. After all that time though, he did

graduate with a funny form of " hat hair. " His hair is longish and

curly and it's now flatter in the areas that were covered by the band

(he had a DOCBand so the back right of his head is flatter where the

cap covered it and where the front cap was, the curl isn't quite the

same). I asked my hair stylist about it though and she said it will

fix itself as it continues to grow out. I'm thinking of getting it cut

really short though to see if it helps the process. Overall though,

I'm not complaining!
