We used the tummy time mat with the little pillow that helps support

upper body and toys for my son to grab at. That seemed to keep him

occupied a lot longer. We broke his tummy time down into as many 15

min segments as he could take in a day. Some days it would be 2. Some

days it would be 5. Just depended on how he felt that day. He's now

almost a year old and loves to roll and be on his tummy.

Don't worry too much about it! My daughter got her band at 6 months old and

didn't roll over yet. She ended up not rolling over until she was a week from

being 7 months old, but once she did it on her own, she loves it! She also hated

tummy time from when she was born. But now that she can roll over she likes to

play on her stomach for periods of time. She is 7 months 2 weeks old now and

even scoots backwards and will roll across the room. I found that laying down on

the floor face to face with her helped and giving her one toy after another

worked. She was one who hated it so much I was glad if I got her to lay on her

tummy for 2 minutes at a time. I was also worried when she didn't roll over and

got her helmet, but now I realize that she has to do things at her own pace.

Good Luck!!!!!!!

Mom to McKenna 7 months

band for 5.5 weeks
