Guest guest
Hi, This is my first post - I joined the group 2 weeks ago, but my son didnt get his STARband until today. He was diagnosed with Torticollis at 2 months but was not recommended to have any therapy until he was 4 months old. By then, he had already developed left positional plagiocephaly. Ethan is 5 and a half months old right now. I think he had the helmet on for about 5 hours today (on and off). He actually seemed to cry more when it was off then when it was on. Did anyone else notice fussiness even with the helmet off? I havent noticed any extremely red spots yet either. Just wanted to say hi - and introduce ourselves! We put some pics up under Ethan J (in the E album). Karith mommy to ethan - STARband (FIRST DAY)
Guest guest
Hello Karith, I just wanted to wish you luck for your little son & your family. Sometimes it's hard to go through the all process but it will be all worth it in the end. Our son just graduated today after 12 weeks of DOC Band & I don't think I would have gone through it without the support of this group. I had so many questions & concerns that were answered here. All the best for little Ethan. Karine.
Guest guest
Hi Karith, My daughter actually likes her helmet. It did take a few days to adjust but she never had any major issues. She did get some heat rash on her cheeks but I put a little aquaphor on them and it went away. Best of Luck! Guest guest
Hi Karith, Welcome to the group. When you're in break in period babies don't really seem to like the band on and off all the time. When you get to 23 hours a day it is usually easier. I'm glad he's doing well with it on. Keep us posted on his progress. -christine sydney 2.5 yrs starband grad > > Hi, > > This is my first post - I joined the group 2 weeks ago, but my son > didnt get his STARband until today.
