Hi -

I agree, it really doesn't matter how nice they're being, they are

not producing the results you expected. I think you made the right

decision to break ties with them. Is seeking treatment anywhere else

an option? Is it something you even want to pursue? I'm having a

hard time envisioning the indentations/ridges you speak of. Can you

try to describe them a little bit more? Are they under the band or

around the edges? There are some ridges that can develop from fluid

buildup around the edges of the band, but they go away after

treatment is ended (my son had one and it's nearly completely gone

now). Is what you're referring to more severe/different than that?

I was just reading your initial post...you say your son is nearly 6

months old and you started helmet treatment when he was 4 months,

and he's been in his band for a month (or close to it). So that says

to me that from the time he was scanned to the time you received the

band, was close to a month? Is that right? If so, that is against

protocol which says that a band should be fitted within 2 weeks (or

less) of the scanning/casting. Otherwise you risk the baby having a

growth spurt and the band not fitting correctly. If that is the

case, you most certainly deserve a refund at the very least. It's

unfortunate, but Hanger (across the board) has had a really

questionable reputation over the past few months, so many bands are

ill-fitting from the start. If your ortho is 2 hours away, chances

are there are no other options close by, are there? I'm not sure

what to tell you, I do know of moms who give it a second shot, you

just need to do what you feel comfortable doing.

Please keep us posted. Good luck!
