Hello-

It has been a while since I have posted anything about my son

Bradley( or as we call him Boogie cause he is always dancing). So let

me fill you all in on a little bit about him and then I will go from

there.

I had noticed from the time that Boggie was born(which was 2

weeks earlier) that his head was flat and that it wasnt right. We too

had also got the run around of it will round out on its own but never

did. So finally at about 6 months his doctor sent us to a specialist

who said yes he did have plagio. After about 2 months of fighting

with the insurance company we finally decied to take matters into our

own hands and we went to Stellar P & O in Pasadena,CA(who is awsome by

the way). To where Dr. had confirmed that he was modrate

boarderline severe Plagio. So after about a week of thinking about it

and seeing if it would fit in our budget we went ahead and got him

scanned. He got his STARband on Jan.22,08. He is now 14 months old

and got it when he was 8 months and 3 weeks. So he has been in it for

about 5 months now.

So here is my question and where I could use some advice. When we

started with the band his measurements were:

Cephalic Ratio- 0.963

Oblique - Diagonal 1- 160.9

Oblique - Diagonal 2- 147.5

Overall Symmetry Ratio- 0.891

Over these past few months Boogie has not minded the helmet at all

and actually prefers it on than off. He has to what I think good

growth over all and you can see a difference even though his head is

still REALLY flat(to me). They havent had to really shave any foam

off. I think maybe once or twice. But we went for a scan on June 16

and he measured:

Cephalic Ratio- 0.930

Oblique - Diagonal 1- 164.2

Oblique - Diagonal 2- 156.6

Overall Symmetry Ratio 0.900

I dont know really if that is a big difference or not. So I guess

that is one of my question is that a big or good difference and if so

wat is the differnce in mm? Also at that appointment Dr. had said

that if there really isn't a diffence between the scan on the 16 to

the next scan (which will be on July 17) that he wanted to start

talking about possible graduating. Now I kinda have mixed feelings on

this because as bad as I wasnt him to be done so we can see his

pretty stawberry blonde hair I dont want him to have a flat spot

either. So I kinda or should I said me and my husband feel that as

long as Boogie doesnt mind having it on (which he doesn't) and we

have plenty of room to grow( which we do cause all the foam is still

there pretty much) that we would want to keep on truckin along with

the process but I know that he is getting older and that the older he

gets the slower he will grow. So I guess my question is what would

you do if this was your child, would you keep on truckin with the

process or would you graduate?? I dont want to do the wrong thing by

my baby but I just don't know what to do and am hoping that since you

all have either gone through this or are going through this that you

could give me your opinion and advice on what you would do and then

maybe I can come to a decision on what to do. I am going to post some

pictures of before he got the band and what it looks like now. So

maybe seeing the pictures will help with your opinion and advice.

Sorry I kinda jabbered on and it is sort of long I just wanted to

fill you all in. I look forward to all for your opinion and advice.

Thank you in advance.

Bradley aka Boogie (starband 1/22/08)

P.S- I will post his pictures as Boogie so you dont get him confused

with other Bradley's on this page.
