Hi Leila,

You're right...I've read that brachy bands tend to shift more because there's no

where for the band to touch in order to stay put in the back of the head.

Maybe you could help me (with my paranoia:). From what I've learned from this

group, Luke's band is supposed to be holding the sides of his head so that it

doesn't get any wider while redirecting growth to the length of his head. I

feel that because the band is shifting to the left, there is a flat spot that is

starting to appear on the upper part of the back of his head...so where the band

is supposed to be holding the head in on the left, the slight shifting is a

little off and is now holding part of the left side of his head as well as a bit

of the back of his head....I hope that makes sense!

My husband says that his head plates are still shifting so I shouldn't worry

about it...what I'm worried about is that the back of his head is looking great,

but in the meantime, the shifting is creating other issues.

Did you ever have this feeling? That the band created other issues while

solving other ones? I am completely convinced I'm paranoid.

Also, thanks for telling me to stick with the 23h schedule so that I don't miss

another growth spurt...I needed to hear that! I am really hoping that on his

next appointment (6/10), we will be able to start the nighttime only

schedule....I need to learn more patience and to not be so selfish (I miss his

head!).

P.S. I don't think what you did the other day with combining Maysa's face and

your other daughter's pic is crazy...I've found myself constantly looking at the

heads of babies and children and think I wish I had been better informed too.
