Guest guest
Has she been wearing the same helmet for 6 mo? Are you sure it still fits properly? Usually the same helmet cannot be worn that long (I think for starband and hanger 6 mo is the max, docband is less). It might not be comfortable or fitting properly now so that is why she is taking it off. My daughter graduated at 10 mo, so it might also be an older baby thing, but would still check the fit. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > My daughter, who is now 13 months, has worn her helmet for almost 6 > months. Guest guest
hi - I got a grown-up size metal barrette (like by goody, at the supermarket - i got the thickest one in the packet), and clipped it over both parts of the velcro. and then slanted it (so it didn't rest perpendicular to the velcro), so it covered more of the velcro and didn't poke the baby.I had to do this the last few weeks my daughter wore her band (she was 13 months when we finished),because she suddenly was interested in the velcro (open, close, open, close). She never tried to take the helmet off but naturally we wanted her to benefit from the tension the velcro provides (when closed).Hope this helps!-ali in NJ
