Guest guest
What kind of helmet fo you have? We had a hanger and I know that the 1st couple of days it didn't fit right and was tighter on one side... but the ortho made adjustments and it seemed to fit better. If you are seeing a dent then talk to the ortho about it... My dd had a growth spurt and there was a ring on the top of her head when the opening of the band was - it is still slightly there. You do not want an ill fitting band to cause more damage. HTH! 's helmet has been doing this for almost the whole time. My Othodist has tried stuff to keep it from drifting and the beack of her head looks awesome. This week I noticed that the area near her eye seems to have almost like a dent in it. I have been hoping that she would be done at the next scan in about a week because I know we were close to the numbers and she seems to have grown in the last couple of weeks. My question I guess is if you had a helmet that did that will the eye area kind of fix it self once its off or will we have to stay in it longer with more modificaitons because of this. Some days I want to tell him to just cut off that littleside burn piece esp now that I see it may have caused a "dent". Anyone who has had this happen who can tell me thier experience would be helpful. Find phone numbers fast with the New AOL Yellow Pages! Guest guest
My son had the same issue with the ring on the top of his head. He also had a Hanger helmet. The tech here said that he had never seen that before, but he simply sanded down around the ring (kind of a beveling out from the center), and it went away. Also, our Hanger tech placed a soft foam inside of the helmet (on the sideburns, and in the back at the neck) to prevent it from slipping around.
