Guest guest
Beth, The nutritionist's point was just that thousands of people were following a high protein, low carb diet for weight loss, and yet that is what we are giving our kids, and then wondering why they don't gain. Another point to make is our kids are not insulin resistant because of their diets. The studies show they are this way, and the GH makes it worse for the time they are on it. Not to say that diet isn't important, obviously it is, but our kids' diet (or lack thereof in my house) did not cause his insulin resistance. Is your daughter currently on GH? Guest guest
Hi Beth H, You said; >The nutritionist's point was just that thousands of people were >following a high protein, low carb diet for weight loss, and yet >that is what we are giving our kids, and then wondering why they >don't gain. What the nutritionist is missing or not understanding, is that the fat content is the most important aspect. Also, it is very important not to just use any fat, it needs to comprise mostly of fat from butter, coconut oil, palm kernel oil and cod liver oil. Other types of fats will interfere with the hormonal process and lead to more insulin resistance. >Another point to make is our kids are not insulin resistant because >of their diets. Our doctor does not agree with this and I will go into greater detail on this subject later once I find the material I need to explain why he feels the way he does. >Is your daughter currently on GH? is no longer on GH, after starting the high fat and protein diet a year ago she when off GH. Guest guest
Beth, You say that went off the gh a year ago since starting this new diet. How has she grown in the past year since stopping the gh and doing this diet as compared to not being on this type of diet and having the gh?
