Guest guest
Hello-- Not sure if it's the same thing, but Merrick has something similar. At first I thought that his head was growing weird because of the repo. The person we work with at CT said the same thing--that it is probably a lymph node. We had a pediatric appt. soon after, and our doctor felt it and said that the 'hard part' was acually only pea size--that is when she dug into the bumpy part. She had me feel, and I could kind of tell what she was getting at. She said that it is either a swollen lymph node or a cyst. That was probably two weeks ago now, and the swollen bumpy part--that she actually thought was fat--has gone down. Now that I hear someone having the same, though, I wonder. Merrick's was also on the back right which is the side of his flatness. H. Merrick, 4-months, 11mm plagio, tort, DOC band for 5 hours!!! > > I have'nt had much time to write about Maysa lately (and still don't), but here is a quick update. Last Friday, she got fitted for her DOC band (at 9 and a half months) and did great in it all week long. A few days ago, I noticed a bump on the back right side of her head (where her plagio is) and when I brought it up to Amber (her ortho) today, she first felt a lymph node and said that it was normal, I then pointed out the hard spot and couldn't tell what it was. She said that she had never felt anything like it before. It's about the size of a toddler's knuckle and it feels just as hard. > > HAS ANYONE DEALT WITH THIS BEFORE, DOESN ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT IT MAY BE??? > > On the happy side, she said that the helmet was feeling a little tight on her and she was able to shave off some of week after only one week of wear. > > We see her again in two weeks... I have posted a picture of Maysa in her new helmet. I am having fun with the decorating part and people are loving it.... >
Guest guest
Well, that is interesting. Maysa does have a lymph node kind of behind her ear and you can tell that it is a lymph node because it moves when you touch it. the hard bump I am talking about is really hard just as if a bone was starting to stick out. Here is another thing to worry about. Could it be lambdoid? (I hope not!)
