Guest guest
Hello everyone! My name is , I've posted quite a few times about my daughter but I have a new problem! I recently gave birth to a baby boy. I was taking to her orthotist for an appointment and the Dr. said that he would take a look at Dominic while we were there. Well. . to make a long story short, he is noticing that Dominic also has a tendency towards his right side and is developing a flat spot. I'm so upset because I've tried to be very careful with him and it will be so upsetting to go through all of this twice. I honestly do not know what to do. I've avoided putting him in a swing or bouncy seat, but it doesn't seem to matter. Does anyone know of a sleep positioner that works? Or maybe some other repositioning tips? I hope that we can correct the issue before needing a helmet since Dominic is only 10 weeks old. Please help! Thanks, Sam Mom of Nikki (14 Months--Left Tort, Starband 1-25-08 and still wearing) Dominic. . .????
Guest guest
A lot of babies have flatness at 10 wks that corrects. He may need some neck stretches. Does go for PT? If so maybe you can ask her therapist, or maybe ask your doc for a referral. I've head of the Nightform positioner (recommended by our craniofacial plastic surgeon) but i haven't used it. At this point it is probably the tendendcy toward the right you want to focus on. Put everything interesting on the left - toys, mommy, car window etc. Also take some pics of his head and see how things change over the next few weeks. -christine sydney 2.5 yrs starband grad > > Hello everyone!
