My son is twelve weeks old and we just learned of his plagio and we are currently working very hard on repositioning. If the practitioner you are talking of is going to be back in SD anytime soon, please share the information. Guest guest Posted September 23, 2008 Report Share Posted September 23, 2008 HI I took my son to PT evaluation today for his tort and the PT said she will be doing CST as part of her treament for tort. I have no clue what it is all about and how good it is on baby's. What she explained to me was that she would put light pressure massaging his head .I am very scared and concerned about anyone putting pressure on my baby's head. I am very confused too . I would like to bring it up with my PED tomorrow. But I doubt if this PED has any clue about the pros and cons of CST or he knows anything about CST. Sorry for being sarcastic , but thats how I feel about all these pediatric doctors. I think their knowledge is very much narrowed down to a specific area and they do not seem to keep up-to date with other areas. For example, my first PED ignored my baby's flat head & reflex and upon my request, she referred me to a pediatric ENT specialist for his reflex and referred a neuro surgeon for his plagio. The neuro surgeon asked us to do some repositing and later said everything would be fine when he gets older. He never noticed my baby's tilt /tort and neither the PED nor the ENT specialist did. They were only concerned abt their own areas. After subscribing to his group, I got to know so many things . I also came to know that reflux is a symptom of tort. I was so surprised why any of my doctors never thought about it.When my told my current PEd about his tort, he checked him and asked me not to worry becasue its a mild tort and gave me a PT referral. BUt he never tried to diagnose why the baby got his tort . Anyway, enough of my sour experinces. I would like to feel assured and completely feel comfortable about CST before I start PT for my son.
