Guest guest
Hi. My son is almost 5 months old. We live in the Asheville area in North Carolina. It was recommended that we go to Cranial Technologies in Charlotte for treatment of his plagiocephaly. I have BCBSNC and Cranial Technologies is out of network and I was told the next closest place for treatment is UNC, a 4 hour drive. As there is no place any closer, I was told I should try to get them to consider it in network due to the distance of the next closest provider. Has anyone had success with this? Does anyone live in the Asheville area? Thanks
Guest guest
, We live in , SC (about 2 hours from Asheville). We go to at STARband provider in Greenville, SC that does have the STAR scanner. Greenville should only be about an hour and a half or so from where you are. I would highly recommend them. It is called Orthopedic Services, Inc. and Todd O'Hare is the orthotist there. He sees a lot babies as candidates for helmets. I think he told me at one time that he may have 30 or 40 patients in bands at one time. He used to be a physical therapist so he has a good background if your son has tort too. You should check them out if they're in network for you. We have BCBS of SC and they were in-network for us. Good luck with your search. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions about them. Austin-6 mos(tort/plagio)Blake-4 New to group from Asheville Hi. My son is almost 5 months old.
