Guest guest
Has anyone ever printed out colored pictures onto regular paper and mod-podged them on? And if you mod-podge onto the band does it come off easily? I've been doing stickers on 's band, which have been great. But I'm wanting to do a quilt themed for a week or two. Or, do you think I could mod-podge fabric onto the band. I basically want to be able to "return" to a natural plain band without any residue. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!! THANKS! 6 months, almost 4 weeks in DOC band
Guest guest
I have printed out a picture on paper and also used regular paper in the shape of numbers (from my scrapbook supplies) and mod podged it on top of paint. The thing I learned quickly is that once you add mod podge to paper, it's stuck in that spot, you can't move it like you can with a sticker, since the mod podge goes right through the paper. My Stanley Cup Final logo was completely off center on my son's Penguins helmet and there was nothing I could do about it but remove EVERYTHING and start all over, so I just left it. I should note that non of the paper I mod podged was colored, it was just black and white. I would just test it on something else first to see if the colors from the printer ink would run from the mod podge. Or you can maybe buy scrapbook paper that's already colored and printed, I bet that wouldn't run like printer ink might. And also, I used paper stickers right on the band for the first time last week and will never do it again, because they were a PAIN to get off, there was paper still stuck in spots and I didn't have any goo gone, so I ended up painting over some of it and will deal with it later. Hopefully someone can chime in and let you know how it is removing the paper and mod podge directly from the plastic. I don't think it would be as bad as a paper sticker since you won't have the extra adhesive, but it might be worth adding a base coat or two of white paint first, just to make it easier to remove later. Sounds like a great idea though! Let us know how it works if you try it! Guest guest
I printed out some letters on plain paper and used " Xyron Create-a- Sticker " (which I had with my scrapbooking supplies) that basically puts a sticker backing onto any paper. I then applied them directly to the band and covered with a couple layers of varnish. They come up easily if they are misplaced and have stayed put well with the varnish. However, you can still get " under " the edge (even with the varnish on - it is really thin) to pull them up when you want a change. Hope this helps some - it has worked for me.
