Guest guest
Hi Penny, My name is Becky. I recently started reading postings at the duodenal switch site. I've had rashes like that before and what I used was Lotramin. I hope I spelled that right. The oitment that's used for feet. My son's pediatrician reccomended it for my son's diaper rash that wouldn't go away. I tried it on him and it worked great, so one hot summer I decided to use it on me and it worked wonders. Just a suggestion. Good luck. Becky

Guest guest
Hey Penny, I wasn't going to respond because I've already sent about a zillion messages but... can you go without underwear for a few days? Have you tried hydrocortisone cream for the itching? Or maybe neosporin to get it ti start healing? I dunno, I'm not a nurse but that's what I'd suggest. Also, I've never used witchhazel on any sort of rash and it might be a VERY bad idea, but it's really soothing on other sorts of sores and bites for me anyway. You might have an allergy to something? A new laundry soap? Deodorant soap? Is the area staying moist from being in bed? Gosh, I don't know. I hope you get some relief. I think you maybe should go to the doctor? Jean. Please call your health professional and get a prescription for a proton pump inhibitor like Prilosec or Prevacid. TUMS isn't strong enough for what you describe. Also, try sleeping with your head and upper body elevated so that the acid won't flow from your stomach and up your esophagus that easily. >Now I have a >rash >> along panty line of each leg that is spreading is sore, itchy and >weeping. LOL I hope that these problems resolve for you quickly. --Steve --

Guest guest
Hi Penny, I would get that same rash problem as you are describing. I actually finally connected it to certain times of the month, at least for me. No matter where and how it comes from, I found this helped the best. I would make sure it was washed with soap and dried very good. Sometimes I even used my blowdrier on it to make sure it was good and dry. (Yes that hurt). Then I used neosporin creme (not ointment) and lathered it on good. THEN i used baby powder on top of that to keep the skin from sticking together. If i did this at night before I went to bed it was usually much better in the morning. Hope this helps.
