Guest guest
Hi My son has been in his helmet for over 16 weeks now and I've noticed that some of his hair has worn away, probably from rubbing against the helmet. I am wondering if anyone has had any permanent hair folicle damage? He has never had a heat rash (I was warned to watch out for this) but his little head gets so sweaty, his hair is sometimes plastered wet to his head when I take it off for a break. Can this be harming his hair folicles? thanks for any information, Marina
Guest guest
My daughter lost nearly all her hair under the band and kept it at the top where the band is open giving her kind of a mohawk look. Now that it has all grown back, I can't tell any different between the area where the band was covering her head, and where it wasn't. She does have kind of crazy hair with enough curl to make it messy, but not quite curly all the time, but i think that is just her hair. No change as a result of the helmet. She lost it all after about 1 mo in the band, and it started growing in after that. It was back to normal a few months after the band was off. -christine sydney 2.5 yrs starband grad > > Hi > My son has been in his helmet for over 16 weeks now and I've noticed > that some of his hair has worn away, probably from rubbing against the > helmet.
