Guest guest
Hi,baby A had brachy 96 percent from birth and plagio .6. the stupid specialist we saw when she was 3 months said " i've seen much worse, it won't matter if her head is a little deformed, her hair will cover it, and she'll round out on her own if you use bags of rice to reposition, and exersaucers and bumbo seats and tummy time. " after all the repositioning we realized the problem was better but NEVER would go away on its own, so we got her in a helmet at 6 months.they think her brachy will correct to 89 percent (it's at 93 after a month) and the plagio is already at .3. could i have gotten more brachy correction if i had started earlier?thanks
Guest guest
I'm glad you got started. Most of our doctor's are really not helpful with their " don't worry about it " approach. There is really no way to know how much correction you will get - it just depends on your baby's growth (and how good the band/ortho are). You still might see more correction than you are expecting (keeping my fingers crossed). But yes it is true that you most likely would get more correction by starting sooner. -christine sydney 2.5 yrs starband grad > > Hi,baby A had brachy 96 percent from birth and plagio .6. the stupid > specialist we saw when she was 3 months said " i've seen much worse, it won't > matter if her head is a little deformed, her hair will cover it, and she'll > round out on her own if you use bags of rice to reposition, and exersaucers > and bumbo seats and tummy time.
