Guest guest
My son's was 10mm and is now 5mm after 2.5 mos in DOC band... his assymetry, too, is mostly very low, so those measurements may not reflect the actual appearance of his head since they are taken from a higher point... our LO said that he may or may not have benifited from a 2nd band because they are not really designed to correct that lower region, and that the original band had pretty much done what it was gonna do...and our insurance only covered 6mm+... so, after debating it back and forth for a week or so, we decided to just graduate him and be happy with the correction we got... Since this decision, I have felt guilt many times that maybe we should've gone for the 2nd and hoped for the best... but at the same time I know his head looks SO much better than it did... he has gotten some more natural rounding as he's gotten older, and I've often thought about revisiting CT for another measurement just to see.... I know you are just in the beginning of your journey, so I wish you the best... I just wanted to chime in because it sounds like your daughter's head shape is very similar to my son's, and we did see great results with the band...good luck Shenelle Katy, TX > > Can anyone give me an idea of what their child's asymmetry number was? > My daughter is 8 mm.
