Guest guest
We purchased an organic baby mattress, it was from healthy child.com or org (I cant remember) It is awesome. I had a super firm mattress to begin with and switched to this one because it was softer. My view is the firmer it is the more damage it does to the babies plagio. I got a softer mattress and added the target 1 1/2 inch foam to it to make sure it was nice and soft and would not hurt his head in anyway. We did this all about 6 months ago when our son was in his band. He has been out of it now about 8 months and still loves his organic mattress and his target foam. We have seen great results. He is now 13 months old and doing great. Good luck with your decision but I would never go firmer, just softer. Also, the organic models do not have the fireretardent materials as others do that are linked to sids. I read a few post's regarding a firm mattress. Is a firm mattress needed because of the band? I heard some people bought a twin memory foam top and cut it to fit the crib. Is there any safety issues with them rolling back and forth, meaning, is it harder for them to roll from back to side to front? His current mattress seems to give in the middle and I was wondering if this would be a good choice for him.Any information would be great.
