Nothing about MS excludes other problems

that would cause a symptom like that.

Chiropractors are very good at getting

everything aligned for maximum function

in the central nervous system. You may

very well get resolution of that and other

symptoms. I would go for it.

My MS Bag of Tricks:

1989 - started chiropractic

1993 - found Wayne Dyer's books

1995 - started lin Time Mgmt system

2003 - started LDN

a winning combo.. mind, body, spirit, and short term memory issues are all helped with them 4

The REASON I NEVER knew I had MS was because of my Chiros. We worked through 10 exacerbations in 11 years by finding, what thought was, the underlying Cause of my problem. Alleviated the Cause, and it resolved.

In 1998 my friend thought my symptoms were MS-like, but we found it to be a cocoa triggered attack and stopped the cocoa once we found it in FRENCH VANILLA COFFEE, so I didn't go to a neuro.

Nor after my 1999, 2000 or 2001 attack, we found Cause, fixed, remission.

In 2002 I couldn't ignore that attack, it affected my typing on my left side, so I then HAD to know what caused it.

LDN wasn't around much before then, so I'm really happy I didn't KNOW I had MS until 2002, even though it's clear now that 1991-2002 were MS attacks, and one BIG one in 1981 that left everyone clueless.

All my chiros now can help their patients better, we've all learned 'what to look for'

Just curious if many MSers go to a chiropractor? I've been on LDN for 3 yrs and in just the past couple weeks both of my feet, which are normally just numb/tingling at the toes, have become tingling all over and up the back part of my calf. It's not painful but uncomfortable and annoying. A while back I had another issue but it went away making me think it was a pinched nerve and I'm hopeful it's the same but thinking it prolly wouldn't hurt to go to a chiropractor although I've never been to one before. Any thoughts.Blessing,

Hi ,

While many MSers have been helped tremendously by chiropractic care, I

suspect the increase in your symptoms is, in fact, related to MS rather

than a pinched nerve.

If you are not taking the full 4.5 mg of LDN nightly, now might be a

good time to do so.

If you are already taking 4.5 mg, then I would suggest exploring

additional treatment options, like a diet low in saturated fat,

exercise, glyconutrients, food supplements, and avoiding dairy, gluten,

sugar, aspartame, fried food, caffeine, and food and drink to which you

are allergic. For more information, visit

hello kristin. i've gone to a chiro before and had great result. but

bec i experienced l'mermitte's sign i did not let him adjust my neck.

rather he stretchd and loosened it. i'm curious what your other chiro

issue was/is. also consider stress and other factors that could cause

a slight increase in symptoms.

i agree also with the last dude and the diet. i'm a swanker. fell off

the wagon and went chocolate crazy during the holidays. no issues at

first but eventually my hand started feeling funny. i layed off the

choc, resumed swanking and it went away.

hope this helps any. --jc

Hi ,

I am currently seeing a chiropractor -

purely after reading about a doctor here in Australia who uses this as his sole

treatment for MS and Parkinson patients, with great results. I was curious and

even though I'm not symptomatic with my MS, couldn't just to try sometime

- he's adjusted me about 4 tines now, each very minor adjustment

but definitely thinks the 2 areas that are slightly mis-aligned caused and can

case the attacks I have had...

As it was explained to me, most symptoms

such as numbness and tingling and speech difficulties are caused by your spine

being misaligned and the nerves being pushed or pulled or twisted....and

that gently manipulation of those areas can e of much benefit before seeking

drugs to relieve the pain....I'd say give it a go, if it's not

too expensive!!

long before I was told about the MS I damaged my back and went to a chiropractor

but now in a wheelchair it is too difficult so I get a massage at home

I think you should see if massaging the calf helps I find while standing helps more then on the bed

Thanks to everyone for responding! I've been taking 4.5 mg of LDN for

just over 3 yrs now. The last episode I was referring to was my left

leg going numb but that went away fairly quickly. My diet isn't

horrible but I could definitely cut out chocolate. I've looked at the

BB diet and Swank before and now with summer coming on, I'll prolly

really start to incorporate them more.

I still would like to try out a chiropractor but now I need to ask how

to find a really good chiro since I've never been to one and I don't

have any friends who go to one. My insurance doesn't cover chiro

services so that won't be an issue but do I call around and ask if they

deal with MS patients? Other than opening the phone book or asking my

primary, I don't have a clue to make sure I find someone who can help.

Hey Cyberguy,

Thanks for the advice. I surely won't be signing any contracts. I did

find a local chiro who many people recommended off a website. I made a

consult and exam for tomorrow.
