Guest guest
Hi my name is Melody and I have an 11 month old son who has been in his first doc band for about 6 days now. I have noticed that when i take it off for th hour he itches his head uncontrollably is this normal? Also when the helmet is on his head he can litterally move it up and down and a little side to side. when he is moving around on the floor he can move his helmet half way over his ears. is it supposed to be this loose? I am just wondering because in front of his left eye he has a dry spot of skin like its been rubbing, it doesnt stay red and he doesnt seem to mind it but im just worried that it is too loose. please email me at mommamellbell@... if you have any advice.... Guest guest
The itching is very normal. Try rubbing his head with a dry washcloth to scratch it. You can also put a dab of Aquaphor on it to give some moisture. As for the movement, there is a little give side to side, but I don't believe it should be moving so much that it goes over his ears. I would call CT and check. They are very helpful and willing to do checks when needed between scheduled appts.Good luck!SandyMom to Lyla (9 months) - DOC Band GRADUATE last week, yipeee!and Owen 4----- Original Message ----From: mommamellbell <mommamellbell@...>Plagiocephaly Sent: Thursday, September 4, 2008 12:09:37 PMSubject: Mayson's helmet too loose?
