Guest guest
I know I've not been here long but this e-mail really encouraged me. I've had some weird comments out and about lately and I try so hard to just brush it off but...sometimes it still hurts. Glad to know that there is an end....some day he will not have to wear this thing and he'll just be a 'normal' kid. The specialist told me the one thing he has going for him is his one eye is not as slanted as some he sees so it makes whats there not appear so off to the naked eye also his big cheek is already losing the baby fat so its not as noticeable. He is a happy little guy always jabbering so people notice him big time the other day after we had it off we were at the mall & two different times people told me "what a gorgeous little boy I had" they had no idea how much their comments could mean to me at the time.In the past few weeks another problem with him has cropped up & we need to start concentrating & focusing our attention on that so I am glad the helmet is done as he was starting to really hate it & become emotional when we would put it on him.He is walking with a very noticeable drag in his left leg so we are starting physio & hoping its just weak muscle tone & a bit of laziness & with some special exercises he will be alright. All the best to each of you & thank you so much for this site its comforting knowing I was not alone in my journey.hugs all
