Guest guest
I'd just like to share my experience of cleaning the DOC Band. The orthotist at CT taught us to wipe dry the helmet before we rub it with alcohol. That's what we did. Every time we took the helmet off from the baby, we tried to dry it really really well with a cloth (we actually used a cloth diaper for that). After that we use another washcloth to clean the helmet with 91% alcohol (we got the CVS brand). After the helmet is aired and dried, we smell it and see if it still stinks. If it does, we'd wipe it again with alcohol. On the days the baby sweats a lot and the helmet really stinks, we'd repeat this step until we don't smell anything any more. My boys have been wearing the DOC Bands for 2 months now and their bands still don't have any smell. I felt that we did a pretty good job cleaning the bands.
