Question re: Helmet and fever

Diego has been in his Starband for 3 weeks now, on and off becasue of

adjustments and now because he's been sick for the last 5 days. I'm

still confused about when to leave the helmet off in the event of a

fever. My Orthotist says that with a temperature over 98.6, the helmet

should stay off, but he's not a Dr. The pediatrician says that

anything under say 100.8 isn't considered a fever and the helment can

stay on. Anyone have any experience or advice?

Thanks!

My advice is, don't overthink it. If your child seems much more comfortable without it on during the time he has a fever, leave it off. It's only going to be a day or two and it won't cause him any harm. At worst, it will delay his progress for a day or two.
