Having surgery in May...

Hi there. I'm 19, having jaw surgery (they're moving my lower jaw

back, upper jaw forward; at first they were just gonna move the

lower jaw back, but the braces made my underbite pretty bad, sigh)

in May. It was gonna be last summer, then December, then March of

this year, now May. Sigh. I'm not too freaked out...mostly about

the needles since I'm severely needlephobic and when I got my wisdom

teeth out they had to give me nitrus oxide before they could give me

the IV; I didn't swell much at all after the wisdom teeth were taken

out, and I healed quickly from that (or so says the surgeon, who is

also doing my jaw surgery). Does that bode well for the jaw

surgery? I would be so very happy to know that, since I've seen

photographs of after-surgery and it looks, well, awful.
