Guest guest Report post Posted September 22, 2008 Hello Everyone, I know my last post wasn't really an " up " one but just when I get so mad at the doctor's, I go see my urologist and he lifts my spirits. I have really been having difficulty initiating urination and not be able to stay dry so I thought I would drop in and make an appointment to discuss the issues. He had an opening and saw me right then and there. He was so kind and gentle and caring. It is never any fun to be catheterized and he and his nurse really went out of there way to make me comfortable. I have to restart my flomax and I have to self-catheterize twice a day. At least I know now what it going on. I know for some folks this is too much info, but I am just so amazed at the disparity in how patient's are treated by their doctors that I wanted to share a positive story. For those with a neurogenic bladder, you will understand how I feel. Thanks for being there guys. BTW, I am going back to Hopkins in October to see neuro and rheumy. Terri G. Guest guest Report post Posted September 22, 2008 Terri,Thanks for the positive story, and no information is really too much as if we don't already deal with neurogenic bladder nowwe may sometime in the future. I have an appt. on Wed. with a new GI doctor, I saw a PA who ordered a bunch of liver tests and I had a liver biopsy, so will get the results of that, hopefully all is OK and I can restart Remicade. For the most part I have good doctors who treat me well. Thanks for sharing.
