Guest guest
, I just wanted to say hang in there! It'll get better and the day will come when she doesn't even notice it! By the way, I have an Amelia also! She is 18 months and wore a DOC Band for 4 months. Sorry, I just get super excited anytime I see that name! Best wishes, Toni Mom to Amelia, 18 months, DOC Band grad, 2/22/08 [sPAM]Re: Re: Helmet hate Oh we're not stoping or anything. I just didn't expect such an adverse reaction from her. It makes the whole thing worse on me seeing her hate it like that. I'm sure it will pass in time, but it's going to be a long week for us. I'll need all the good vibes I can get. It is true, that a lot of babies adjust rather quickly to wearing the band, but there are definitely quite a few that take more time, so please don't feel like your daughter is the only one. I would just encourage you to stick with it. Even in the instances where babies have taken longer to adjust than others, they DO adjust eventually, it will just take some time. As long as there are no severe red spots that don't disappear within an hour after removing the helmet, she should not be in any pain, so it's just a matter of getting used to it on her head. Best of luck, I really hope it gets easier. Please keep us posted.Jake-2 (DOCBand Grad 9/19/08)Jordan-4.5>> My daughter Elaine got her helmet yesterday and it was not the best> experience.
