I would leave it off for the evening and see what it looks like in the morning. If the red spot is still there, he may need to be looked at by his specialist. The person who adjusts Chloe's helmet has always told me just to use common sense when removing the helmet, he said things happen where they can't where them at times and not to worry as long as it is being wore as directed.

My son Ethan has been in his STARband for 12 weeks now. Yesterday, he was sitting up and playing with his toys - he tried to get onto his hands and knee's but instead, he face planted the floor. He had is helmet on, but the thump was very loud. This afternoon when I took his helmet off for PT (he has Tort as well), I noticed a very dark red spot on his forehead. When I pressed on it, it stayed red - and after an hour it was still there. I examined it closer, and its a huge bump. Im not sure what to do - and have opted to leave the helmet off for the night... is this ok? I dont want it to swell up under the band but have never experienced this before. Any input? Thanks so much!KarithMommy to Ethan (Plagio & Tort) - STARband 12 weeks
