Guest guest
Hi Jenn My son was diagnosed with Tort at 3 months - we tried repositioning until 4 months. He began PT at 4 months - he is now 7 months. We go two times a week and I also perform at-home therapy everyday. His Tort wasnt very severe - but he still tends to droop to the right. He is now looking and turning his head in both directions. The therapy is helping - it's just slow going. He got his STARband at 6 months. Some things that helped us encourage him to look or turn the other way were moving his crib to a different area in the room - we placed him on the changing table in the opposite direction and even moved his carseat to the other side in the car - just make him have to always turn toward points of interest. We will probably continue PT until he graduates from his helmet in December. The therapist will teach you positions and stretches to do at home that will help with correcting the tilt. It is very demanding of your time - and takes alot of change from you and your son - but the results will come in time.
