Hi Melinda,

Not sure if there is a link between sleeping elevated and brachy. I had

Spencer elevated in the crib at the hospital when he was born, but he

was home within 4 days and sleeping horizontally and has been since.

Spencer also suffered from relux and hated tummy time, so thus the

reason he spent so much time in his bouncy chair. I myself blame the

amount of time Spencer has spent on his back more than anything. But I

have stopped placing the blame on myself and you should too. I just

think that some babes are more inclined to develop plagy/brachy etc.

The great thing is that we have the great technology that we have today

and can use corrective methods. Good luck and I think you are doing a

great job as a mum :)

Cheers,

My daughter has brachy but always slept in her bassinet. She would

never turn her head to the side. When we repositioned her she turned

it back to facing straight up.

The lady who did her scan also said that about being inclined but in

our case this just isn't so. Besides, I know so many parents who kept

their babies in swings for most of the day and even let them sleep at

night in them and they have a beautiful rounded head. I just think it

varies baby to baby.
