We've all been in your shoes and now what your going through when it comes shedding a few tears over the fact that our child needs a cranial band. We live in Phoenix,AZ and when my Ped referred me to Cranial Tech I didn't know that there were other providers that we could use. I don't regret using Cranial Tech. They did a FANTASTIC job and all of their staff is trained specifically for children with Plagio. (that is all they do) I know where I live, we could have used a Hanger band, I've heard good things about them. I think the easiest way to handle things is to go on the internet and google each band (DOC, STAR and Hanger...) look at their websites and see which bands are offered in your area. Then if you want, make appointments with the ones in your area. This way you can feel more comfortable with your decision.

[sPAM] Newcomer with LOTS of questions!

Hi - this week my son had his 6-month check-up and the pediatrician did not see any improvement in his head shape and suggested that he get fitted for a cranial band. The Dr office gave me information on Cranial Tech and the DOC band - but I know there are other brands and companies out there. I am looking for any feedback that anyone has about the various bands out there (DOC, STAR, Hanger...). We live in the Western suburbs of Chicago.Thank you SO much for any help/info that you can provide. I just want to do what is best for my little boy.I have shed my share of tears these past few days and I am so glad to find this resource and to find out that many families have plagiocephaly success stories!)
