we had the same issue and decided to go and get the next step car seat. The graco infant seat was just not made to help the baby's head with the helmet on. We bought the roundabout by britax and it was awesome. He was so comfortable and his head was supported and didnt flop forward any longer. I know how painful it is to watch them in the infant car seat so switch to the next step car seat and get the BRITAX it is rated number one in all testing and will last a while. We love it and bought another the Britax Marathon for our other car. The roundabout only goes to 40 pounds but the Marathon goes to 60 pounds. The price is a bit less for the roundabout and I feel it is great. Good luck and get the baby a new seat asap. We were so glad we did! Tammy

My daughter just got her STAR Band & I'm worried about her headjutting forward in her car seat. Does anyone use something behindyour child's back when they are in their car seat with their helmet onto get their body more even with their head?

We also moved my baby to the bigger seat and didn't have a problem. We also have the marathon and love it.

he was in the roundabout when we got it and we never had in issue. when he graduated though he was in a decathalon (a marathon with extra padding) and I was worried about regression so I put the head pads back in briefly. so I am going to say I dont think you need anything but it may vary by age, size and seat. my son was 9 mo old when he got it, he was 25 lbs and like I said he was in a roundabout. we got rid of the infant seat at like 6 wk b/c it just wasnt as comfy. actually my 2 mo old has been in the decathalon or roundabout since birth (we also have a marathon for my older dd)

Sorry I missed who makes these car seats. Is the decathalon an add in or the seat itself. My son is also having traveling issues. I am sure it is not good for his head to fall to the side and make the torticollis worse.

Britax is the brand & Roundabout is the style...And, as an FYI...the Roundabout got a much better rating from Consumer Reports than the Marathon (Roundabout had an 81 vs. 58 for the Marathon), even though the Marathon is more expensive. -Shari Using Helmet in Car SeatPlagiocephalyDate: Monday, October 6, 2008, 12:32 PM

Britax is the maker. I have found them cheaper at albee baby's website cheaper than in stores and no sales tax for my state.

Britax makes them. The Decathalon is one of the bigger seats. They make 3, the marathon is a plain seat that goes from birth to 65 lbs or in our case 49 " (kids tend to outgrow in height first), then the decathalon is pretty much the marathon with added removable padding, a body support and a head support pillow. without the padding they are pretty close to the same. then the boulevard is also like the same seat but has adjustable rather than removable support, the head support on the boulevard is actually true side impact protection and it also has an easier to adjust harness height.

does anyone have the boulevard with a banded child? curious how well the band fits in the head wings? with the decathalon the helmet fit with the head support in but the head support wasnt really needed with his band on b/c the band made his head fit better so i removed it but put it back in when he finished for some extra cushioning against regression. i really like the decathalons head support pillow, it works much better than those just horseshoe shaped ones that come in like the snugride, etc and even working much better even on a newboern, my (big) son could still use it at a year old.

Not thaty i take cr reports with more than a grain of salt but a lot of this had to do with fit. the marathon is larger so more fit and installation issues. i drive a minivan though so had no problems at all

Hi all-

Does anyone have the Britax Boulevard? It has an insert but looks like it will work. If anyone has feedback that would be great.
