another option??

Our son has positional plagiocephaly and torticollis. Like many others,

neither were diagnosed by our doctor, even with my pointing out various

signs... We're heard about an option that is suppose to work without

having to get a helmet. Unfortunately, it is a therapy that wasn't

mentioned by ANYONE except one mom who offered no details and one

chiropractor who specializes in peds... My son's head is getting a

little better through our repositioning and therapy for his neck, but

not enough. He is now almost 9 months and I feel like time is running

out fast!

Has anyone heard about cranial sacral therapy??? Pros or cons?? It is

a type of gentle massaging and stretching to help the baby with the

health issues and should help to some degree with the cosmetic flat

head issue... She claims there are no risks to doing this therapy...

Today I was told that we would need to go 2-3 times a week for about 6

weeks. If I knew more about it, I would feel better about waiting

another 6 weeks...

Does ANYONE have ANY insight about this therapy??

Hi, my son did the cranial sacral therapy 5 times. We decided on the helmet because we didn't see enough improvement. However my friend stuck with it and her son's head looks pretty good. He also saw a chiropractor and a physical therapist to work out Toricollis. Cranial sacrum therapists only apply pressure about the weight of a nickle. It's pretty interesting. It can get a little new age-ish. Our therapist said that the body reacts to emotions and that negative experiences (ie, traumatic birth) can cause the body to hold on to these feelings and they can manifest in a physical condition.I do think it is a viable option if you can't take the helmet. another option??Our son has positional plagiocephaly and torticollis.
