I have no idea if this will help, and I may be reaching, but I read in the

magazine article about the diet in one of the major mainstream parenting mags

that children who seemed to benefit from this diet have family histories of

fibromyalgia and celiac, both of which I have in my immediate family. Isn't

firbromyalgia in the same family as CFS, an autoimmune disorder? Maybe there

is a genetic link. I think there is in my family. Helene

You know, a mentor program would be great to

implement. I know in the beginning, a had no support.

My parent's thought the whole idea was insane and I

had no one to answer questions. It took me about 6

months to realize that these groups are here, but even

so, sometimes you need to be able to have a question

answered immediately, without waiting for a response.

It would be nice if we had a list of GFCF parents

who've been doing this, say at least a year, who would

volunteer to be a mentor to someone new, if requested.

We could possibly have phone support, where the new

GFCFer could call the mentor if they had an immediate

question.
