Guest guest
I would like to decorate my daughter's band. She is getting it on October 6th. I don't want to have to paint but am interested in using stickers. Does anyone have any suggestions on what sticker brands to use and how to keep them on the longest. Guest guest
I used all different kinds of stickers on my son's DOC band. I think the key to having them last is to either apply a clear coat of finger nail polish over the top (all though this way can be more permanent.) I used a coat of mod podge over the top of the stickers. If you do decide to use paint, use the acrylic paint with a mod podge finish (you can also put stickers on with the paint). This is a non permanent way to paint the band. Once you decide you want to change themes on the band, all you have to do is peel off the paint. Happy decorating! Guest guest
I used regular paper backed stickers from the craft store and nothing else. I didn't want to deal with modge podge or varnish chipping off. Our first set of stickers lasted almost 6 weeks. The second set has been on almost two weeks. When it was time to change the stickers I carefully peeled them off and removed any leftover residue with the rubbing alcohol I use to clean the inside of the helmet with. Now that we are coming to the end of treatment (hopefully 3 more weeks) I wish I would have changed them more often. Good luck and have fun with it.
