I know my web page is in French but you can see the picture with letter & numbers, that will help you.

It is the "FZ R-EU L" measurement minus the "FZ R-EU R" measurement...

I was reading the other post and thought I'd inquire. I don't think Iever got a specific number. The orthotist gave me the scan withnumbers on it, but I'm not sure how you get the asymmetry number. I'mvery curious, if someone could help that would be great. Thanks, Mom to - Tort. & Plagio.2nd day in helmet!

What a great website. The improvement is great. Same question

though...who did those numbers for you? Today is day 4 for us in a

STARband, but they never gave us any numbers like that. Did CT give

you those?

This is the information I was given on the scan my orthotist sent me.

Circumference=44.5 AP=14.8cm ML=13.2 Cephalic Index=89.2%

R>L=15.1cm L>R=13.9cm Cranial Vault Asymmetry=1.2cm

Cranial Base Asymmetry=1.4cm Orbitotragial Asymmetry=1.4cm

Any thoughts? I'm not sure what these numbers mean.

Thanks,

He has a combo of brachy and plagio. Our doc recommends banding for

brachy at 90%, and your child is at 89.2, so borderline by that

standard. Also for plagio he recommends banding at 10 mm of asymmetry.

Your largest measurement is 14 (1.4cm). So banding is definitely a

good idea. Ideally the asymmetry would get to 6 or lower (0-3 is

normal, 3-6 very mild). A little correction in the cephalic index

(brachy) would be good too, but most likely your ortho will

concentrate on correcting the asymmetry.

Wow, thanks so much for the reply. I got the numbers and never thought

to ask exactly what they all meant. Thanks for translating them for

me. Good to know where we are starting and what we are shooting for. :-)

Thanks again, you've been really, really helpful!
