Guest guest
Some people are celiac and overweight because their intestines are damaged by the gluten so not absorbing nutrients, so the person craves the nutrients they are not absorbing, so eats more foods, and the carbs and fats are absorbed sufficiently to make them overweight. They eat more because they need the nutrition they are not getting, but they are able to absorb the calories. Then others are not able to receive much of anything from the foods, the food just passes thru, or they feel too sick when eating so they stop eating sufficiently, and those people are underweight. > > > In a message dated 8/31/01 8:25:59 AM Pacific > > > Daylight Time, > > > lisacna@e... writes: > > > > > > > > > > it possible to have this and still gain weight{or > > > rather too much weight}? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Yes it's certainly possible to be celiac and > > > overweight.
