Saw Dr Welker last Friday and he is tickled pink over our progress and how well we have done. He gave us about 45 min of his time to just chat about anything and then asked us when we wanted our tummy tucks! He measured them as is now and we all suggested a good time for the TT would be in the spring due to treacherous driving condtions after Nov 1st as we live in the mountains. Anyway, we have another appt with him next March and will take pictures and all that stuff and get insurance ready to roll with surgery planned shortly after that. It was absolutly wonderful to see him again. He is really happy and jovial and had plenty of his famous " welker hugs " to go around. One can not help but love that man who has given unselfishly of his time and expertise to those who need him...... On another note, met Shirley Groom from this list while there and she and her husband and Mike and I had lunch together after our visit with Welker.......we had a great time with them and as always, is wonderful to meet another potential " welkerite " pre opt. She was able to see how well we eat and what we eat....I think she was very satisfied....right, Shirley??? Anyway, Im glad to be back here......missed you all! Seems as if you all are family to me now and when Im not here daily Im missing something! I still can not get over the wonderful life we have when our weight begins to vanish.....just today in town two people called us " you skinny thangs " lol We even had one lady I had not seen since last winter wander into the local deli where we had lunch and she did a double take as she wasnt sure what she was seeing! I am also convinced that you everyone here is psychic just as I begin to encounter a problem someone will post about it and all of a sudden I feel less alone.
