Guest guest
Our ped first notcied Dylan's flat spot at his 3 month check. We couldn't see it before because he had so much hair. We were told to just keep an eye on it and it would probably round itself out. Our next appt was at 4 months and we were told to take him to an Occupational Therapist for his tort. We couldn't get an appt until almost a month later. After a month of repositioning and tort exercises we were able to resolve the tort but there were no changes with the flat spot. We were told that it was now up to us whether or not we wanted to do helmet therapy or just wait it out. We were really upset because out of the 4 doctors we saw, none of them would say yes you need it or no you don't. After joining this group and reading everyone's positive stories we decided to proceed. I just couldn't live with myself if it got worse and I hadn't done anything about it. Hopefully Dylan will adjust well. He is a really happy baby and usually goes with the flow anyways. He will be 7 months by the time he is in the helmet so I hope he still has good results even though we waited so long. I just wish the doctors would have pushed us to do something at 3 months rather than wait. I am glad to meet someone from San Diego too, especially one that is going to the same place as us. We live in El Cajon. > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > I just discovered this board.. My 3rd son born in nov 07, was dx > > as > > > having plagio (12mm) at 6 months.
