Guest guest
My son has an appt. Wed. to be scanned/assesed for a Starband. We've been doing aggressive repositioning for 4 months with not much improvement. My question is - when I look at pictures of Starbands, I see most cover all the way around and just have a small opening at the top of the head, but I've also seen some that look more like a DOCband in that they are much more open on top and have the one " pennisula " area (for lack of a better description) that covers the top of the head. Is the difference the orthotist or does it depend on the child's head shape as to whether you get one that is mostly covered on top of the head or not?
