You can search old messages online. I looked quickly and saw that

kidisplint uses the starband, and there was at least one happy parent.

You should look a bit more, depending what kind of response you get

here. (I added your area to the subject line)

I too live on Long Island, we drove to Paramus first each week and then every other week to have my son get the best band that we could. I think you should do the same. Dont mess around with this and go to a provider virtually non of us have used. In my opinion, you can sacrifice for a few months and do the drive, soon it will be over. They also can put you on a payment plan so you can spread out the 2000 or so you will have to pay. I would do this and think of it as Christmas or a family vacation it is SO much more important. Let me begin by saying that I don't know which band is best. We went with the Doc Band on the advise of the pediatric neurosurgeon we consulted with. He told us they are the "gold standard" in the industry. But again, from these posts, I see a lot of StarBand success stories so I don't see how you can go wrong with either.

Hmm, I certainly thought I WAS getting my son one of the best helmets

possible when I got his Starband. I don't think Cranial Tech is the

only good provider out there, do you? Lots of people on this board

have used Starband and non-CT orthotists and have had great results,

right?

Hi,

My 16 month old son goes to Kidi Splint and it was probably the best

decision. We got so many different opinions and she just made so much

sense. We use the STARband and its improving every visit. I couldn't

decide on a place to go with so much info out there and so much to

learn. They have an office in the City and in Brooklyn and I live in

Queens, so I switch off between offices. They are very flexible, easy

going and accommodating. Check out the website at kidisplint.com and

take a look at the cranial remolding. Best of luck.
