We're having the same problems with her bowels. We just treated her for a yeast infection with Nystatin. Her bowels are almost normal and she's only going twice a day now. I honestly think yeast plays a big role with our kids. She is sleeping good again and her horrible gas is gone. She also has what I believe are malabsorption issues. She only weighs 17 lbs. and has just finally doubled her birth weight (she was born a healthy 8 lbs. 1 oz.). Even though she has the abnormal bowels, she's developing perfectly. Have you tried a rotation diet? Try not to give her too much refined sugar either. My daughter's diet is very bland and she has a GF/CF pancake w/ pear butter, eggs, most meats, some baby food, fruit, potatoes, and occasionally some organic wheat products but no dairy. I haven't found a milk substitute that she can tolerate yet so I make sure she gets extra calcium. We'll try the new Dari-free as soon as we can get some. Are you giving her probiotics? I just started Pro-EFA, she gets Cod Liver Oil, and extra Zinc. I hope you can figure out what she's reacting to. My now 3 year old had this, It was the worst experience! I also put him on an allergy free diet and still had the constant runs. What I found was that the typical allergy free diet did not include his allergy, which, for my son, is corn. Your child may be allergic to corn, or some other thing that is not on the elimination diet. Other items I was told later to take ds off of were apples, bananas, oatmeal, and all juice. My son also gets the runs from potatoes, which is new in the past 8 months. As an aside we think he has sucrase isomaltase deficiency, which is a reduced ability to digest all starches and sucrose (vegtable) based sugars (cane, corn, beet, potato). I know the extensive eliminations can be overwhelming. At the same time, getting rid of 10 diaper changes a day and the pain she suffers from them is worth the very restricted diet until you find the culprit. Please feel free to email me privately (mplocki1@...) with questions. Good luck.
