Hi Dawn,

The rule that I was given by my orthotist for the starband was take it

off for " active fever " . Try to give her children's Tylenol, and try to

get the fever down. When she dose not actually have fever, you can put

it back on. However, she may not wear the helmet running a fever,

because that is where all the heat has to escape from.

My orthotist told me to call her if the helmet was ever off for a

period of 24 hours, but every orthotist is different. Good luck, feel
