I just sent in a post wondering how long it takes for the band to be

made from Hanger. A few minutes later I checked my email and saw that

Jeff ,our orthotist, had emailed us saying that they first scan did not

work and that we have to do it again. Has this happened to anyone

else?

Hi -

I would say it's better to know now that the scan didn't work than to

end up with an ill-fitting band because the scan was not right. It's

obviously not ideal, and probably would have been nice if they had

known sooner, but at least you know and will be getting a new scan

done.

To answer your question though about how long it should take to get it

once the scan is done again, usually 1-2 weeks. It is important that

it does not take longer than 2 weeks to receive it because many times

it can result in a poor fit (the baby has a growth spurt while you're

waiting for the band to come in and by the time it does, it doesn't

fit well and is unable to be adjusted to fit properly).

Good luck with the scan tomorrow!

Thanks so much... You are exactly right I would rather have one that

fits properly than to have one that causes more issues. Thanks

again!
